If you are at this page, you are trying to contact me. It may be because you are an old friend I haven't spoken to in a while, or maybe because I still owe you money. Perhaps I haven't spoken to you in a while because I owe you money :-)

The good news is that while the Philippines may be considered to be a third world country by some standards, in terms of communication, if you have the money, they are about three generations ahead of the United States. Put it this way, it is possible to have a cell phone that gives you video voice mail. That is right: given that both sides of the conversation have the correct equipment, you can see medium resolution streaming video of the person leaving you a voice mail. They have had that for over 5 years. We are happy to be able to take and send pictures. Cellular DSL is also available in some sections (though not here), approaching 1.5 megs sustained, and three times that in bursts. The 'States aren't even close to providing that kind of bandwidth over cellular communication.

On the right side of this page is a list of contact numbers, email accounts, etc. I would also strongly suggest that if you have the capability, you sign up for one of those free internet messenger services. I have an account with the big three: AOL, MSN, and Yahoo! This can serve texting, and even video and voice. Then, of course, there is the good ole' fashioned land line. I have that too.
