A Tale of Two Groups
A Gulf1 Editorial
I want to tell you about two groups contending for the hearts and minds of America. The individuals that make up these two groups are almost identical in every way except one. The one thing that differentiates these two groups is the way the members perceive the facts and reality.
Both groups range in age from 18 to 60.
Both groups are made up of men and women.
Both groups have white, black, red and yellow members.
Both groups have parents and grandparents.
Both groups have children and grandchildren.
Both groups have members with average IQ's.
Both groups are generally physically fit, however one group
may have a slight edge in fitness.
Both groups have similar education and academic backgrounds.
The first group has not had a hot meal for over a week. The first group has
not had a shower for over a week. The first group has not even seen a toilet for
over a week. The first group has not been able to sleep in a bed for over a
week. The first group has lived with the constant possibility of being shot to
death for every second of every day for the past week. Click here to see some of
their pictures:

The second group can sit down to three hot meals each day. The second group can take a hot shower or bubble bath each day. The second group can spend as much time as they like sitting on a toilet. The second group can sleeps in their own bedroom each night. The second group never has to give a passing thought to their own personal safety, because others, like the first group, protects them against all harm.
By now I am sure you have figured out that I am talking about the United States Military men and women in Iraq and the protesters that are terrorizing our homeland's populations where ever they can find a television camera. As I stated in the opening paragraph the only difference is the perception of the facts and the realities of life on planet earth.
What are the facts that are perceived is such a dramatically different way?
Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction and will use them on the United States, either directly or indirectly. This is a fact.
The first group understands that Saddam will risk every life on the face of the planet to secure his dominance of the world. The first group is dedicated to making sure that he is stopped.
The second group does not want to face the realities of life. The second group is dedicated to making sure that no action is taken by anyone for any reason.
Gulf1 stands behind the President of the United States and all the members of the first group, in helping to build a safer world for tomorrow.
